Blurry images first appeared courtesy of an insider at Lenovo's Beijing office. Now, a few more details and images are coming from Lenovo on the Pocket Yoga, which appears to be a ultra portable computing device with a very stylish leather cover. Similar in size and shape to Sony's Vaio P, this device is about the width and depth of a small netbook keyboard. However, the body extends no further than the keyboard, and the display is equally small yet wide. From the pictures on Lenovo's flickr stream, the touchscreen display can be folded around and used in a vertical orientation with a digitizer pen. There appears to be a microphone and headphone jack, webcam, two usb ports, and a small pointing device perhaps similar to the TrackPoint, in the upper left corner of the keyboard. The pièce de résistance is the leather belt holds the computer closed. When separated, it folds over to become a small mouse!

This appears to be targeted for classy businessmen and women who need to maintain an image of style and sophistication while still being able to update their Twitter or check sports scores. Will it instead find its way into the hands of high schoolers as the new Sidekick? Possibly in Beverly Hills. Or even end up as the life changing device in a developing third-world country? Most likely not. But I'm not so sure anymore, with the way netbooks have spread, against all predictions and expectations. Either way, I'm excited for more specs to arrive from Lenovo on this classy little device.

Regarding the pictures, I doubt its reasonable to carry it around in a back pocket, with its vulnerability to being sat upon, but wow, it really exemplifies the size. I really like the idea of a built-in mouse. I've thought for a while that a cell phone that could function as a computer mouse would be a fantastic combination of devices. But if the clasp of this computer, which could easily become a usable cell phone with the addition of a bluetooth headset, is used as a mouse, what an even better combination it would be!
